3 Random Facts MEME

Krista tagged me for a meme...several days ago. I've been in a weird mood lately and can't figure out a single thing to blog about! Sorry this has taken so long, Krista.
The rules:
Post 3 random things about yourself.
Link to the person who tagged you in your post.
Tag at least 5 other bloggers.
Let them know you've tagged them by commenting on their blog with an invite to participate.

3 random (useless) bits of information about me:
1. I was once a card carrying member of Queens.ryche fan club. Got to meet them and everything after a Vegas show. What a great concert!

2. I played App@ssion@t@ von Clim@x in Lil' Ab.ner the summer after my senior year in high school. I'm the one on the desk if you can see past the people in the audience.

3. FInal useless/random fact. I painted my toenails blue with a flower on the big toe the other day. My students love it. =)

And if you all haven’t been hit up already...

Kristen-she’s super cool and is with my agency. Plus she’s super busy and I want to know what’s up with her. =)

Joannah-love her name and her beautiful website

Lisa-she’s such a true blue gal. “Known” her since the beginning of this bloggy adventure.

Donna- because I'm hoping with close LID's we'll see each other at the White Swan.

Wzgirl-her life fascinates me. I wanna be her when I grow up.

Matching

Sounds like through 1/12/06.

26 months since LID

Instead of putting up a 26 picture, I thought I'd use the pictures of the 2nd month since LID and the 6th month since LID. Yeah, well...Looking back on Month 2, I guess I didn't think I needed to mark the occasion. Easter was all I needed to mention. Maybe at the time I thought counting down a measly 6-8 months was not that momentous??
As for Month 6, I must have gotten an inkling. Maybe I had chanced upon the RQ rumor blog by then and gotten a clue?!
Ahhh, sweet naivete...

A Hello to my FEB DTC Secret Pal, Cari, if you still stop by occasionally. (I'm not sure if she and her family came to the decision that their family was complete after all. This wait has changed so many lives.)

Bernadette Update

Thank you for all of your reassuring and humorous comments! Bernie, and the carpet, are doing just fine. I should have known after Bernadette ate that giftbox of chocolate covered espresso beans that her stomach is iron! I had heard that onion soup mixes and such are not good for dogs so I was worried about the soup mix in the dip. But now that all is ok healthwise, I am now focusing on how I am desperately craving the spinach dip which was so sneakily taken from me! Now to focus on re-training my dog not to coutersurf...

Oh, Bernadette!

Bernie (my doggie in blog post below) just ate a bowl of spinach dip...that can't be good, right? I am just hoping that she doesn't get too sick... =(

D. Doing Well & Debz Tag

D. is sleeping like a log after his surgery today. Seems all went well. Ear tubes in and adenoids out. Hopefully this makes the little man a bit more snot-free! =)
Thanks for the kind words and prayers.

Debz said feel free to be tagged and I needed something to fill up blogspace…
I realized I had done a similar tag in August 2006. I guess that when the wait extends indefinitely you end up blogging about the same ol’ same ol’. =)

Four Jobs I've Had:
1) 3 days at Die.drich’s coffee. 5:00 AM shift. Need I say more?
2) Front desk at a hotel in S@n Diego. Hotels overbook and then let you get yelled at for it. I cried. The uniform blouses reeked of BO...from previous employees...ewww!
3) Hostess at several restaurants… Never made it to server status. Probably for the best, I would have dropped too many plates! I did get tipped a few times. In fact, I also got tipped working at the front desk of the hotel…
4) Sold student class notes at Cl0ne F@ctory in college. I had so much fun here. What a social job! Too bad you have to “retire” when you graduate.

Four Shows On My TiVo/ DVR: Well, I don’t have cable much less these other thingies…
1) How I M.et Your Mot.her
2) Frid@y Night Lig.hts (when I see it...remember I have a social life now...snort!)
3) Globe.trekker on P.BS (Ian is so entertaining!)
4) The Off.ice

Four Places I've Been:
1) Innsbruck, Austria
Yeah, I had big hair. But it was also very windy up there...

2) Tucumcari, New Mexico (because I needed to sleep)
3) Betws-y-Coed, North Wales
4) Santorini Island
Weren't we cool? Love my pink laced ree.boks. Truly, it was a beautiful place and we had lots of fun!

Four Favorite Foods:
1) my Mom’s chocolate chip cookies
2) Kn.0rr spinach dip with pretzel crisps (craving salt?!)
3) cranberry juice mixed with diet sprite/7up
4) P@nera’s Fuji Apple Salad

Four CDs/Songs Recently Listened To:
1) P@nic at the Dis.co (Nine in the Aftern00n is so fun!)

2) Jord.in Sp@rks & Chris B.rown (No Air) This is my brother’s fault!
3) Spring Aw@kening (musical)
4) Te@rs for Fea@rs (Songs from the Big Ch@ir) reminds me of running in H.S. , carrying my walkman

Four Things You Can Do To Make My Day:
1) Make/buy me dinner.
2) Tell me I’m absolutely right. =)
3) Let me sleep in.
4) Wag your tail and prefer me to the other humans in the room (ok, only the doggies for this one!)THWACK! THWACK! THWACK!

Quick Catch Up

My nephew, D. has surgery for ear tubes and possibly adenoid removal tomorrow. Poor little guy. Fingers crossed it helps clear him up and send him on a language spurt. I'll keep y'all updated. Here we are at Easter looking for crystal made rainbows.

It has been cold and rainy for the past few days. Everything is a lovely green, but we're all ready for the sun to make an appearance.
Rain makes the students (yes, and teachers!) crazy! All cooped up we are keeping our eye on the hall chart which notes that there are 47 more days of school! This time of year is so crazy with adding new students, finishing up paperwork, going on field trips and end of year testing that it feels like we never get anything done, yet we somehow make it through. I turned in my transfer form and am starting to get a bit nervous about where I'll be sent. Time for a new adventure though, right?

Question for you all who like a bit of a tan...any suggestions/recommendations for my Victori@n era paleness so that I can achieve that golden glow and show off all my new cute summer clothes? =)
Lastly, anyone else feeling a bit perturbed by all the Oly.mpic hoopla going on? I am fully prepared for a temporary slow down, but I might feel better if y'all tell me I'm a nut to be concerned about a total China IA/Intern@tional Ad0ption shutdown.
Oh, and yes, thank you for all the inquiries. =) I am dating someone kinda cool, but a few hints here and there are all I am prepared to share for now. I'm such a tease... =)

Congratulations to all the families seeing their child's face for the first time! Wishing you all speedy TA's/travel approvals!
