Foto Fun

Experimenting with color when choosing her own clothes. There was a nor'easter going on...only I got to enjoy her ensemble!
Ellie loves to put things in and out of compartments. Usually whatever should be in she will take out and vice versa. This is her new crayon "purse" that she carries around in case she feels inspired to create a masterpiece on a wall. =)

Intro to dress up.

And we get to dance to baby signing time?!?!?!

This is the best day ever!

Last weekend we raked leaves-before the storm! Also first try at pigtails. They slid out pretty quickly.

Went to the zoo and tried to kiss the goats just like she kisses our dogs.

Love her smile.

Halloween 2009

My boo-tiful girl!

Not too happy about getting her picture taken and hating the hat!

Giggy treats me best!

We're wearing the same outfit!

Determined.

Wrapper or not here I come!

Ellie would climb up and down the stairs all day if she could!

Getting the hang of this!

We had a great first Halloween! Ellie was not going to wear the hat but she was still the cutest pumpkin in the neighborhood! We went to three houses (friends) to visit (aka show off). Then we partied down with my brother and his family who hosted a very fun backyard Halloween get-together. The kids went crazy for the fog machine! It was an early night for us as Ellie and I were both worn out from the fun.

October lasted forever... I am looking forward to cooler weather and (hopefully) a more relaxed November/December at work and home. Will give a "wordy" Ellie update soon.

Last but certainly most exciting... Catherine has her baby Hannah in her arms!!! And D & D have Baby Daphne's referral!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday to my nephew!

The little man is three years old already! Isn't he handsome?!

My niece giving her brother some sisterly love.
Ellie doesn't like sweets very much but she's always game for making a mess!

Celebration of 1 Year Since Referral

I don't plan on doing this every year, but...
The whole family went out to celebrate one year since referral! We were not able to go to our usual buffet as it is being renovated but it was fun to go out with the family and reminisce about the crazy joy of this time last year with my mom and brother driving to school to deliver Ellie's picture and then all of us celebrating! What an amazing time that was seeing her face finally and wondering when we could go and bring her home!

October in Review 1

Mama cut my bangs 'cause she wasn't gonna pay $20 for me to scream bloody murder and then not have the lady finish cutting my hair. What do you think, dahling? I know- mama keeps telling me it will grow back!
