Weekend Update

Let me just say that not working on Fridays is absolutely glorious! If only we could bring this concept into the regular school year. Unfortunately it makes it that much harder to go back to work on Monday! Ten more days. Ten more days...

I'm pretty much finished with the de-wallpapering thanks to D*if GEL and my scorer! Thanks for all your suggestions! I managed to tear the rest of it down inch by inch today. Luckily my work was interspersed with a lovely nap and telephone calls. Makes the job that much more tolerable. =)

The other night was girls' night out with Mary, Sharon & Michelle at the M*elting Pot. Drinks, cheese fondue, salads and Bailey's Chocolate fondue and spicy conversation totally hit the spot!
The weather was great (didn't miss the humidity one bit!) and we went down to the Oceanfront/boardwalk to walk a bit and people watch. A band was playing down by Neptune (cast in bronze in China, BTW).

A most convenient gathering place as the bordering bar/restaurant offers restrooms which are a finalist in C*intas America's Best R*estrooms! Everything you could wish for on a girls night out!

The sinks are very cool. Such atmosphere...BeeGee's tunes were playing in the restroom and everyone was dancing in line. Then again, maybe they just really had to go!

Boston, Baby!

While de-wallpapering, singing along to my tunes and cursing yesterday, I had plenty of time for my mind to wander! One of the topics: The annual speech-language convention in Boston this November. Since I have, oh, a little bit of free time before traveling to China, I might as well get a big chunk of continuing ed points out of the way while going on a pseudo-vacation, right? Any suggestions of places of interest in between coursework?
Maybe I'll get lucky and run into Ga*ry Gu*lman! ;)

I've also started this new book, by Li*sa See. I read Sno*wflower over Christmas break 2005 just before my dossier was submitted and it was amazing. I'm hoping this one is just as good!

Last, but certainly most importantly, it's Hannah Day in China!! What beautiful pictures!
