August 1st
Three weeks of summer vacation at last! It is also Happy 1/2 birthday to me! Yep, half a year has gone by since my birthday and finding out my dossier was through the review room (finally). Unfortunately it has been another 6 months of just existance, not living. For a few months now I've been going out on a limb, so to speak, to actively bring some fun and purpose into the daily routine (both work and personal). And yet nothing is panning out. I can't seem to figure out how to jump back into the land of the living! I pretty much have another year to go before I have a little one to take care of. A whole year of choices for me and "free time" to do whatever, whenever in my work & social life. And yet I'm stuck in the status quo. Not that I should complain about the status quo, ya know? It's "perfectly fine" to quote my 3 year old niece. Trouble is, perfectly fine is not working. But s'ok, just a lil' pity party. =)
On to other things. The other night I heard Bernie whimpering supposedly over an animal she found in my garden...ok, more appropriately termed an area of wild plant growth! Yesterday I went out in the daylight to check out the spot. I saw movement and almost fell into the tall plants! Thankfully my brother came over to investigate further. He determined that the animals are bunnies! They have burrowed into the dirt surrounded by lots of tall leaves & flowers. Shane helped barricade off the area so Bernie & Gracie will hopefully stay away from that area for the next month or so til the bunnies realize they'd better hop over to the next dog-free yard.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Mine is in 28 days (8/29) and I, too, have been enjoying some pity partying.
I am really making an effort at vacationing and focusing on "life" while we wait and wait....but it is hard.
Gosh, I hope you are WRONG and we don't have another year to wait! Ugh! I'm still holding out for a Feb 08 referral.
Hugs and have a glass of vino,
Kim
Sounds to me like the pity parties are the rage this week. It has been a rough week for me. We will get through this little hurdle.
You are lucky to have three more weeks off. Can you believe that I go back on Monday. I think I was out before you, but that doesn't mean I am ready to go back! :)
I hope the bunnies do fine until they are ready to move to safer yards. :)
Feel better! *HUGS*
Hugs! Hope your pity party includes some grape therapy.
It is about keeping busy. We are going ziplining this month to keep us on our toes. That is my advice...go outside your comfort zone.
Keep smilin!
Hey, I hear ya! Been there off and on my self but have been a little better lately. I really don't think you will have to wait a year longer. Everyone seems to think things will speed up once Monster November is over. Your really only alittle more then 2 months behind me and December is predicted to be a smaller month.
Hang in there!! We need to finally get together and do lunch :)
Happy um I'll guess!......32 1/2 birthday! Wow seems like yesterday I posted that on my blog...well I hope the next 6 go by for you so you will be 6 more months closes to your Elena.
PS. Trade your bunnies for my mice ;O) Heck I'll give ya 2 for the price of 1!!!
Totally know what your are talking about!!! It is kind of hard to start moving towards something besides the babies. But time does seem like it is marching by fast and soon August 1 will be a memory!!!
Hugs
Lisa
What can I say? I'm at the same pity party as you! I said to someone the other day, I put so many things on hold, thinking... we'll be travelling to China, then have a little one to care for... and it just hasn't happened! I've thought about going to scrapbooking classes? I've made a few quilts now, and that helped too. But socially things are still pretty ordinary.
