Borrowed Photos from Ellie's SWI (2005)
Ellie stayed in the Xingfeng Social Welfare Institute in Jiading City for most of her first year. These pictures are borrowed from the yahoo group. The SWI was five hours away from our base city of Nanchang and she was the only girl in our group coming from there. We were not able to visit. Thank you to the group for letting me post these pictures for my family, friends and Ellie.
Hard to believe she spent nights in a room/crib like this. She tends to sleep sideways in her crib these days. 
I've been reading more about the area and they are famous for their navel oranges.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. It's hard to find the time to post with 2 little ones and home schooling, too. Congratulations on your recent adoption. Ellie is beautiful! She looks so happy. I love her name. I considered using it for our 2nd adopted daughter.

I so hope I have the opportunity to visit PIPA's SWI. Not sure it will work out but I'm going to try everything I can to make it happen.
