Summertime!
Ahhh, summer vacation is here again. This year there were several days I really didn't think we'd make it to June 13th! I'm still in limbo regarding my placement for next year. So much for hearing by the end of May, then before school ends. I just realized personnel is very similar to the CC@@!
Now I have EVERYTHING I use for therapy/teaching stacked in my garage. Ok, thrown in my garage 'cause I'm s'pose to "do some major sorting and pitching." Sounded good before I actually brought it all home. If you look at the RQ image below,
and take in the latest projections (always with a huge grain of salt) you can see another reason why I'm starting to get excited about maybe having Ellie home before the end of the year. My thoughts have come back to putting the nursery together. Cleaning out the closet, hanging pictures on the wall, making up the crib, heck putting the lampshade on the lamp that was purchased would be a good start. Finally got it out of the box. Besides, doesn't setting up her room sound so much more fun than that major sorting/pitching chore?!
BTW, have any of you registered (and probably re-registered...) at a store? What kinds of things are you hoping for? I don't think I'll register til after referral-Just curious. Seems like so many of us have bought everything (and more!) by now!

Happy summer to you! I hope you find out your placement before you have to report back. Right now I'm not in the mindset to think about school, but I know that as my return date gets closer I will spend time thinking about how I need to modify my classroom for third grade. I hope you have time to plan like that, too.

Girl... you better get cracking on that nursery! You'll definitely have Ellie by the end of the year.
Can't help you with resgistering. Haven't done it yet. Will probably wait until referral.

REGISTER! One, it's really fun, and two, people have a real obsession with baby registries. They really do. They love the little stuff.
So here are my recomendations, because it won't matter how old she is for them:
Bath toys like foam letters/numbers that stick to the wall.
Cloth diapers. I use disposable diapers all the way, but the cloth diapers are good all around mess cleaners-burp cloths, changing pads, spilled formula getters. They are great!
BABY GATES and the locks for cabinets and such. Trust me, you'll need them. :-)
So excited for you that this is finally getting closer! YAY!!
You will sooo have her home before the end of this year...
How exciting to get that email from our agency, YOUR NEXT!!! Holy crap!!!
