A Magical Surprise

I walked into my classroom this morning to the most amazing sight! A huge Magical Tinker.bell Balloon, a gorgeous bunch of violets and this card. Truly one of the sweetest cards I have ever received! I mentioned previously that one of my favorite classes was going to have a birthday celebration with me on Friday. Well, they were going to surprise me with this thoughtful and love filled card.
Their teachers Ms. J & her TA, Ms. H were so creative! The quotes about me as stated by the students crack me up!(You can click on the photos to enlarge if you'd like.) I thought it was very interesting that L., one of the sweetest boys ever thinks I'm "not too fiesty"! I heard from T. that J. actually said I "look sexy" but, Ms. J being the great teacher she is, used that as a teachable moment about being appropriate and they found another synonym!!

The whole class reminisced about various activities we did together and they put it all together to create this lovely, fun tale! They are such a wonderful group of children-so much love. And Ms. J...you rock. Thank you! =)

Also, Congratulations to those families seeing their children for the first time! Referrals officially went through December 27, 2005.

As a lurker on your site, I had to comment on this one! This is absolutely adorable, you know that class put a lot into it. I'm a teacher myself (just don't have a "home" this year so I'm working in the private sector for now) and I always loved when my class made things for me! I had surgery last Jan. and when I came back I noticed something being passed around the room, got the gist of what was going on and let it happen because it was a welcome back card for me - one of about 3 or 4 the class made. It's this type of stuff that makes it worth it, isn't it?
