Stuff

10 months down since LID. Hoping that I'm definitely over halfway in this extended paper pregnancy.

Thankfully I had no power over the last few days! My lights had been flickering over the past week, no fuses blown. My wonderful landlords called in the electrician and were informed that I use so much power (must be the darn computer on all day and night!) that wires had melted and even parts of the meter were bubbled and melted. We were all very lucky that there wasn't a fire. The electrician told us that houses weren't originally wired for the amount of electricity we are used to these days! Luckily they were able to rewire everything and let me borrow a meter til Monday. Bumping into objects in the dark gets old pretty quick! I really feel for the people who have lost their power due to storms over the past week. Being in the dark AND freezing cold must be horrible.

Got this fun video today. My learn Chinese with the Rosetta Stone method is going very slowly. Thought I'd try out the Dance and Learn with Mei-Mei way! Twinkle twinkle little star, anyone? I'm kinda hooked on that Pulling the Carrot song!

Also, this time of the year is usually hectic, but hopefully full of joy and cheer. But some of my close friends are dealing with difficult situations right now. So I just want to let Mary, Amanda and Angie know I'm thinking about them and sending them lots of love and prayers.
